Test Sieves
Retsch’s test sieves are available in 200 mm/203 mm/8’’ diameter and offer users a large number of advantages. A special welding technique ensures a fabric-screen connection without “dead edges”, thus preventing sample material from remaining on the selvedge. The optimized design of the sieve body prevents the accumulation of detergents or sample material. Thus, there are shorter drying periods and a significantly higher product life cycle. The sieve body is made in one piece. No external materials are used whatsoever, eliminating effectively the possibility of cross-contamination as well. Moreover, the entire sieve is designed using non-corrosive, high-alloy stainless steel (316L or DIN 1.4435) and therefore allows for use in all areas of laboratory analytics.

The innovative resistant-welded connection to the sieve frame guarantees a permanently tightly stretched wire gauze. This is achieved through testing and optimal adjustment during each individual manufacturing process.
Another new feature is the labelling technique of the sieves. Sieve data are directly applied to the sieve frame with the aid of a laser. Consequently, it is impossible to alter or remove sieve data. The mesh size is marked on three locations so that it can easily be read from all sides.
Tried and tested quality Reliability and safety rank first with regard to analytical equipment. Therefore no test sieve leaves the production facilities in Germany without a certificate. Sieves are calibrated using a worldwide unique mesh measuring system. The new standard (DIN EN ISO 3310-0) requires a much higher number of meshes to be tested than previously specified.
