AMVn Viscometer - High-precision viscosity measurements for low viscosity substances
AMVn – Automatic Microviscometer
The AMVn determines the dynamic and kinematic viscosity of transparent and opaque liquids fully automatically. It is based on the rolling/falling ball principle (DIN 53015 and ISO 12058) and ideal for the measurement of low viscosity substances such as wort and beer, inks, polymer solutions, biological fluids, extracts, blood plasma, etc.
The AMVn is the most accurate instrument on the market. Reduce costs in the lab: Start a measurement with a minimum sample volume of between 150µl and 2.5 mL, depending on the sample viscosity and save sample and cleaning agents.
The AMVn measuring principle is based on Stoke's law. The viscosity of a liquid is determined by measuring the rolling ball time between a fixed distance. The time is measured fully automatically by two inductive sensors making it possible to measure opaque samples without problems. The variable inclination angle of the Peltier-thermostatted capillary allows shear stress / shear rate variation and easy repetition of measurements.
AMVn Viscometer - High-precision viscosity measurements for low viscosity substances
AMVn combined with DMA Density Meter and SPV sample changer for automated measurements
• High precision and excellent reproducibility of results
• No water bath required due to Peltier thermostatting
• Closed system - no sample/ air contact
• Small sample volume starting at 150 µl
